The Problem with Summer Prep

Most prep programs ask families
to choose between two bad deals.

If you've looked at your options, you already know this. The summer ACT prep market has been broken for years.

The Chain Course

30+ hours over the summer. Classes of 20+ students. Graduate-student instructors reading slides off a screen. Built for the average student — which is no specific student.

The Boutique Tutor

Genuinely personalized — and priced to match. Often $150+/hour with 25–60 hour minimums. Easily $4,000–$9,000 by the time you're done.

Self-Study Apps

No accountability, no relationship, no diagnosis of what your kid actually gets wrong. Most teenagers quit within two weeks.

"Boot Camp" Weeks

Five days of cramming. Feels productive. Research is clear: the gains don't survive to test day. And the week conflicts with everything else on the summer calendar.

What Three Weeks Looks Like

The Boosted Scores Bootcamp gives you
three specific outcomes.

Not promises. Outcomes — measured, reported, and guaranteed.

i.

A higher ACT score

A minimum of +2 points over your starting diagnostic — guaranteed. Past students have hit jumps of 4, 5, even 7+ points.

ii.

A study plan that survives the program

You leave with a personalized practice plan, a curated resource library, and the framework to keep improving on your own through test day.

iii.

Perfectly timed for the Jul 11 ACT

Six hours a week. Three weeks total. Wraps Jul 10 — the day before the ACT — so your prep peaks exactly when test day arrives. No long taper, no momentum lost.

How It Works

Five things students have validated
as actually moving the needle.

Two years of student feedback shaped what made it into the program — and what got cut.

i.

Peer reasoning beats instructor monologue

The most consistent feedback across every cohort: students learn more from hearing each other work through problems than from watching me explain. Every session is built around students taking turns working examples and walking through their thinking out loud.

ii.

Practice the day before we review

Students asked for it; the results backed them up. Each session is preceded by a short practice set so we walk in already grounded in the material. We spend live time on the questions that actually tripped people up.

iii.

A strict routine, honestly enforced

Same days, same times, same expectations each week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday — 10am to 12pm ET, two hours each. Predictability isn't a constraint on engagement. For teenagers, it's what makes engagement possible.

iv.

Breakout rooms as the workhorse

Students consistently rate breakout work — solving problems in pairs or trios — as the most useful part of the program. Every session includes substantial breakout time with rotating partners, so students hear different ways of attacking the same problem.

v.

Weekly parent progress reports

Every Friday, parents receive a written progress report with specific data: accuracy by question type, pacing trajectory, what we focused on this week and what comes next. You'll never have to ask how it's going.

Built around your needs
"Ethan has a great depth of knowledge about the ACT, as well as a plethora of strategies to take on each section. His class allows for feedback after every session, which he uses to adapt classes to each participant's needs. I would recommend the boot camp for anyone who wants to begin studying for the ACT."

Raised my ACT score
"Tutoring with Ethan helped me raise my ACT score by 3 points, which was really great! He taught me different tips and tricks about taking the ACT that made me go faster through the sections. He helped me make a study plan and went through practice problems and tests with me. Whenever I got a question wrong he was encouraging and would always explain and work through the problem."

+2 points on the ACT.
Or free biweekly 1:1s until the next test.

If you attend every session, complete every assigned practice set, and take the Jul 11 ACT — and you don't improve by at least 2 points over your starting diagnostic — I give you free biweekly 60-minute 1:1 sessions through the next ACT test date on September 19, 2026.

Eligibility: baseline diagnostic ACT score of 31 or below, taken on Day 1 of the bootcamp. Free 1:1 sessions are 60 minutes each, scheduled biweekly between Jul 11 and Sep 19. The guarantee applies to the first ACT taken after the bootcamp.

Questions Parents Ask

The questions that come up
on every consultation call.

When does the bootcamp run? What's the exact schedule?
The 2026 cohort runs Monday, June 22 through Friday, July 10. Sessions meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm ET on Zoom — nine two-hour sessions in total. The cohort is timed specifically for the July 11 ACT, so prep peaks the day before test day. Pre-session practice (roughly 45–60 minutes) is done on the student's own schedule, typically the evening before each live session.
My kid has a packed summer. Can they really fit this in?
Yes — that's exactly who this is built for. Six hours a week, three weeks total. Sessions are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am–12pm ET, so your student knows what they're signing up for. Pre-session practice is done on their own schedule — usually the evening before. The late-June/early-July window lands before most family vacations and travel-team peak weeks, and wraps the day before the July 11 test so students peak at exactly the right moment.
Is the guarantee real, or is there fine print that gets me out of it?
It's real. There are three things you need to do: attend every session, complete every assigned practice set, and take the Jul 11 ACT. If you do all three and don't see at least a 2-point improvement, you get a free 60-minute 1:1 session every other week through the next ACT test date on September 19, 2026. No money-back rebate gimmicks — the guarantee is more 1:1 time, which is what actually moves a score. One eligibility note: the guarantee applies to students whose baseline diagnostic — the full-length ACT taken on Day 1 of the bootcamp — comes in at 31 or below. Students scoring above 31 are already in territory where 2-point jumps require very different work (mostly grinding edge-case mistakes), and the guarantee math doesn't honestly hold up there. Happy to talk through what realistic gains look like for higher-scoring students on a consult call.
What's the early bird deal — and what if I need to drop out?
Early bird closes June 5, 2026. Deposit by then and you lock in a free 1:1 strategy session ($165 value) — a private hour scheduled between the diagnostic and Week 2 to set your kid's specific game plan. After June 5, the bonus is gone but seats remain at the standard offer until full.

The $200 deposit is fully refundable until June 12, 2026 — that's a full week after early bird closes. Life happens; if your kid gets recruited for a summer program, gets a job offer, or you just change your mind, you get your money back, no questions. After June 5, the deposit applies toward your final tuition.
What's the difference between this and just hiring a private tutor?
Cost and pedagogy. Private tutoring with me is $165/hour — 18 hours would run about $2,970. The bootcamp is $749 because it's group-based, which sounds like a downside but actually isn't: students consistently report that peer-reasoning sessions are more useful than 1:1 work because they hear how other students attack the same problem. If you want the private experience plus the bootcamp, the +$300 add-on tier includes two 1:1 sessions.
